We are Hemmat Law. We make our living defending the lives, freedoms, and futures of many of our community’s most vulnerable citizens. But despite that care, we cannot help everyone. Some crises are of natures we cannot stop, prevent, or reverse. So, we find other ways to give back and support the people of the PNW.
Law on the Street (L.O.T.S)
With trust in humanity and institutions at an all-time low, we decided we needed to bring the our office closer to street level. We interview people about their hopes, dreams, fears, and stories in the hopes to learn things about one another and the society we all share.

Callie
Callie is our Content Director, leading the strategic storytelling and collaborations that build our brand. Her experiences working in journalism, film, and creative writing constantly shape the stories we showcase, ensuring every story we share has an impact.
Michelle
Michelle is the team’s Social Content Creator. You might recognize her from her TikTok channel @michellevillafilipina where she explores Seattle one adventure at a time. Her expertise in content creation and her city-wide connections allow us to collaborate with awesome interview subjects that highlight the voices in our community.
What we do
For every person we interview, we work to purchase and forgive medical debt for WA families – without tax consequences for the debtor household.
